It's weird being back in Grass Valley. It never feels quite like home anymore. And Davis has never quite felt like home. It's always interesting to be back in Grass Valley just to see how much has changed in the last three years since I graduated high school. There's barely anyone I know left here at all. I totally agree with you. I thought that the feeling was only me, until I started talking with other people. I thought it was only limited to long distances, but I was also wrong. I go back to GV when I absolutely have to- like to get all my stuff out of there. Same as you, I have the couch or the floor as a sleeping arrangement. Even with the numerous rooms we have in the house, and the number of "adult" children, there are no beds to spare. Once they shut down the Billards place, the only activities for teenagers are bowling (during selected hours) or getting into trouble. Probably 90 percent or more get into the latter. Drugs and alcohol mostly. It is sad to watch. I forget that in Grass Valley it takes a half hour to drive anywhere! I am so used to getting anywhere I want within 10 minutes. I am also used to fast food and games being open until 3am. I forget everything closes at 5pm in GV ( ... )

And another thing: I haven't been to GV in four years. Can you believe that! The day of graduation from high school was the last time I lived at home.
