Ahhh... Lunch.

I feel like I ought to post something, but... nothing to say. Life is very humdrum this week.

So, tell me something interesting.

Arg. I just looked at a bunch of previews for The Sims 3. Now I reallyreallyreally want to play it.

My socks are done! My first pair of handmade socks. They're SOOOOO warm. The yarn is striped and the stripes match up all the way down the sock, although (oddly) the second one feels looser on my foot than the first. Maybe I have different size feet? Or maybe I need to block them? At any rate, I'm very excited.

Goal for this weekend: Finish my sock! It's going well... I'm working on the toe.

Today has been another productive (though tiring) day in the garden. We put in day lilies, a pink coneflower (the only one I could find...) and some bulbs - hyacinth and daffodil. I have more daffodils to plant, plus tulips and snowdrops. We have another small bed to fill, the spot in front of the porch where the yew used to be, and some space ( Read more... )

Now that the rain is over, it's really nice outside. Breezy and cool, but not really cold, just nice fall weather. I went walking with Jim and kept an eye out for good garden plants in other people's yards. What grows well for my neighbors will probably work for me too, right ( Read more... )
