The only draw back for a woman waiting until her 30s to have kids is that there are quite a few more potential complications in that age range than in the 20s. I remember when we visited the OB for the first time he asked my wife how old she was and when she said "25" the doctor heaved a sigh of relief. He said that it made things a lot easier as there were fewer tests that had to be run and fewer problems to look out for.

That being said, no one...and I mean NO ONE should get married or have kids before they are ready or for any reason other than knowing that it is time. This is the #1 problem with the world: too many people enter into these things for the wrong reasons. There is no wrong or right age to marry or have kids, but there are wrong or right reasons. This is why the divorce rate is so high, and why children are growing up in loveless homes with incompotent parents.

Trust me, when it is right everything will fall into place. That's not rhetorical nonsense, it's first-hand knowledge.

yeah, i know-- once we hit that 30 mark, there's all kinds of things that can go wrong. not to mention your body heals itself a lot better in your 20's. i mean, like, incredibly better.

speaking of which, your little bundle is coming up soon, isn't...he...she?

Yeah, any week now my little girl should be here. The official due date is Feb 21, but all signs point to her coming early. We have an ultrasound coming up this Friday. I'll post pix.
