I was watching that geek tv show and the girl and boy had a fight about loops vs strings. Are not loops strings!  And what string theory they talked like there was only one!

There are multiple string thoeries. It depends on who you talk to. And loops are strings witht he ends connected.

Then there are multi-dimensionsl strings.

Things get really wierd down at that level.

And for extra geekiness, after ready the Elegant Universe, I figured out it takes a STR of 300 (in Hero system) to break a string. 8-)
