i don't like it because i always think "now i am cutting myself off from reality, what will i miss?"
but some days i want that.
my walkman just gave up and died like 5 years ago. every so often i attempt to revive it (because i still have a lot of good tapes) and it just fails and it's really sad.

i just talked to someone about taking a vinyl challenge. i was saying how the new radiohead sounded really nice on vinyl and while i had nothing against the free mp3s they essentially gave away, i was glad to have the records. he says that it's all in my head. i'm pretty curious. i want to do a double blind test with records and their digital counterparts.
