for a long time I thought about getting my tongue pierced....
but the thought of having to teach and not being able to talk real well (possibly) for a few days kept me away from it. I can just imagine the students asking me why I had it done, and the only real honest answer I could give without speech would involve the o-shaped mouth and pumping hand gestures--and let's face it, there are some things students don't need to know about their teachers.
