Why oh Why couldn't they have just kicked the field goal and then tried for the touchdown. Not that I really wanted the Seahawks to win or that I even expected them to be able to get the touchdown but I did have the 1,3 square in my superbowl pool and would have won $250 bucks. The one year I get good numbers and still get nothing

We were watching the game and were incredulous at Seattle's terrible clock-management at the end of each quarter.

Disagreeing with the FG-then-TD scoring scheme is one thing, but with 45 seconds on the clock, no timeouts left, down by two scores, and you throw short passes up the middle? Come on... they teach in Football 101 that's a bad idea.

After missing 2 field goals I wouldn't have gone for the FG either. I don't really like that call when you are down by 11 because you are screwed if you don't get a 2 point conversion at the end. If you get the TD first then at least you know whether to go for a second TD or can get the FG and force an overtime.

But I was hoping they would listen to John Madden. Certainly just about anyone else could have told them those short passes were pretty stupid.
