Ferrets in Da Hood
There was a time when fireworks were set off on Bonfire Night (Guy Fawkes Night) and only then. Now they're going off every night for around a month before, to two weeks after, that day. Leaving on a Jet Plane
Well, it's Sunday, it's 8.15am.
I catch a bus for Heathrow tomorrow (Monday) at 4am.
I will arrive in Dallas (where I'm meeting up with jrosestar for a couple of days) at roughly 12.25am (Tuesday) UK time, before heading to GCLS in NOLA with Jean & Vic.
Do you think it just might be a good idea to start packing a suitcase?? -

New pets
On Friday I finished work early so I stopped off at the RSPCA shelter. The RSPCA re-homes dogs, cats, horses, goats, guinea pigs, rats, birds - you name it, they rescue it. They didn't have a lot of dogs on the website even though the kennels are pretty full, as they only list animals for adoption when they've been chipped, vaccinated, spayed/ ( Read more... ) -

In case anybody was wondering - yes, all the bolts, plates, and screws that hold my shoulder together did set the alarm off when I went through airport security. But only at Heathrow. There wasn't a peep fron the scanner at LAX.

Bleh
One "souvenir" from my recent trip to Xena Con was the dreaded lurgy. Probably picked up on the plane. I don't often get sick - injured, yeah, frequently, but not sick - so it always takes me by surprise when I do. This time it was a chest infection, a really nasty coughing-type infection - viral unfortunately, so there was no medical help ( Read more... )
