A question to you all: How do you put up with this god forsaken heat and distance?

[Well that seems to be a short and sweet text-post as opposed to the normal video/audio posts you all tend to get Johto. I wonder why...?]

My first suggestion is to obtain a Water type Pokemon.
My second would be to dress in light clothing, such as sleeveless shirts and shorts.
Dampening your shirt periodically to wear also assists with the heat, I've come to find.
An Ice type would be helpful, but as far as I'm aware your only option to coming into possession of one of those would be through purchase.
Keeping in the shade as much as possible and making sure you are drinking plenty of water are also two things to keep in mind.
Especially the latter.
Dehydration is terrible for you.

As for distance, I would suggest finding a Pokemon that would evolve into something you can ride, such as Ponyta or Shinx.

[[It's okay. Rose can't deal with the heat either. Most days she likes to sit with her head in the freezer if it's too hot for her.]]

It doesn't seem much hotter than where I'm from. The distance is easier to cope with if you stay hydrated and properly pace yourself.

Properly pace, huh?

[Because the only pace he can do is : `Slowpoke`]

Yes. If you over-exert yourself without proper rest, you'll only go slower, in the long run.

[Oh he knows of this.

Except he never applies it to well. Traveling.]

I am familiar with that, yes.

For the heat, I just keep a water or ice type around. Sometimes both.

The distance... Well, these days I cover long distances by flying.

[Well, it isn't really surprising for him to see all these similar advices popping up all over the place.]

Flying does sound like a convenient way to get around.

It's the fastest way. A day's worth of walking takes two hours on a fast flyer. A week takes about half a day of solid flying-- so about a day if you take breaks in between.

Well that's an interesting tidbit of information.

It's not so bad once you get used to it. Avoiding heatstroke's pretty simple as long as you don't overexert yourself and stay hydrated. I'd guess a water-type would help with that last part.

While that is a sound advice, I believe mine is... quite unwilling to cooperate.

That bad, huh? Yikes. Guess you'll have to do it the old-fashioned way and just keep a lot of bottled water on hand.

Ah, I see.

[There was a bit of a slight pause before.]

Are you used to this?

Never this hot, but where I'm from, it gets pretty close during the summer months!

It's cold during the Winter months, too.

Maybe you should try buying looser clothing?

[He stares at his Gentleman costume for a second before typing up this reply.]

I suppose that would be a wise move.
