Well after the DIRE disappointment that is the new Apoptygma Berzerk album, I had very little hope left in my soul for Gackt's "DIABOLOS".

Man, sometimes it's nice to be wrong.

This isn't my FAVOURITE of his albums (that will always be a tie between MARS and REBIRTH) but it sure as hell beats the ass off "Love Letter" from earlier this year.

Ahhhh!
I had never made the connection between this record and Buck Tick, but jeesus, there's some blaring similarities, especially in his newfound abuse of electronics.

Unfortunately for originality, I still love this album. His last attempt at "orinal" thinking gave us the plappy "Love Letter" which I can only listen to to send me to sleep.
