Well, on the bright side, China seems to be a pretty tough place to live, anyway. So I think he's smart to assume he'd be happier in England. Especially since you're there! As for his dad, he can just get over it. Kids shouldn't have to do exactly what their parents plan out.
He hasn't told anyone else anything about it, he takes his family things sooooo seriously.
The trouble is, his mother is supporting him 100% on whatever he chooses to do, but his father wants him in a great job and making a load of money NOW, not in a couple of years D:
He's apologised for upsetting me and said he never meant to, he is lovely... I'm lucky ^____^;;
