When I was younger, one of my favourite authors was Gordon Korman. And my favourite book by him was "Son of Interflux". There are many many reasons to like that book, but it was the main character's painting teacher that I really loved. If you haven't read the book, Querada is the epitome of crazy art guy. Cool! You're one of the few people I've ever met who know what I'm talking about with that book.

I've looked for it at the used book stores around here, without any luck. I may have to start checking Amazon/Ebay.

I've seen it recently...was it Value Village? Goodwill?

I think Value Village. But I could be completely wrong. :P
