I'm going to visit my fundie Catholic cousins this weekend. And I have to stay in a hotel because of my "alternate lifestyle choices." And they don't even know about the kink! :-)

Worse, though, is my mom talking about them. Funny that I'm more indignant about her intolerance of them than their intolerance of me. It's certainly more vituperative.

That still makes me shake my head in... well the opposite of wonder. I cannot fathom folks who are that insular.

I can understand that - when it's from someone you would hope would be more understanding.
