Zell has taken his extra credit essay for Dr. Jackson very seriously (there's a really good reason for drive-up ATMs to have braille on them and he's explained it in exactly five hundred words), even if he's not been able to deliver it yet. Daniel hadn't noticed the avoiding thing, mostly because he's done a better job at it by not being on the school grounds at all. He usually popped in first thing in the morning to check his inbox and drop off graded papers, other than that, he spent most of his time at his flat.

Except for today, of course. Today he had ended up helping the old woman in the apartment below him move her furniture. Then there had been the interesting lunch with that Ziva woman, so he was a late getting to the school today.

Which explained why he practically ran into Zell near the drop box.

"Oh, Zell... Essay done?"

Zell is ... a little too dignified and masculine to squeak at almost-being-run-into, but he looks like he might want to at the unexpected appearance of Dr. Jackson. That's - is that curse, you know, contagious?

"Er...yeah," he answers simply, offering Dr. Jackson the typed essay without looking up from his shoes.

Daniel nods, taking the paper then reaching past Zell to get a few more from his drop box. And if he accidently brushes against the younger man, well oops?

Oh, oops. He's a little too inelegant to make it less than obvious that he hasn't moved away - in fact the exact opposite, shitshitshit - from Dr. Jackson's too-close reach.

"Good. I guess. I didn't - uh - just homework and stuff." Rambling? Who's rambling? Certainly not him! "Uh...how was your weekend?"
