well,
haven't had time to look at lj much since Friday.  We've been crazy busy taking advantage of Doors Open on Sat and Sunday.   Basically, public access to a lot of sites around the city where you can't normally go.  We had a list.  I think we covered most of the big parts on Saturday - to the point of exhaustion.   But due to a glitch with the ( Read more... )

I love the second and third, and the start stop button. The colors are amazing. I so got a camera envy.

These are fantastic shots. I love them all. I think I especially love the one with the vine, the one right before it with the rwMisk graffiti and the second shot with the white fabric (plastic?) on the left hand side and the doors. Very, very cool stuff.

Do you have a remote trigger for your camera? With long exposures I always seem to have to take a few shots since I seem to bump it when I push the shutter at least once.

i have one... somewhere. heh.
I use the 2second timer instead. The first shot I included just to give some idea of scale of the place. It was huge. The Vine shot is The Bad's favorite shot. Of the 100s I took these were some of my fav. I'll probably post up more but I really wanted to put up a few right away.

some of them didn't come out because I found that one of the tripod adjustments seems to be stripped. I didn't notice it until later. It meant that there was some slight creeping downward movement - which of course ruined the longer exposure shots.

It was soooo much fun!

I really like the old furnace looking shot (rusty pipes). I sure wish we had more industrial ruin like that here to shoot. But your pictures are great - I'll look at them anytime.

wow, you always amaze me. There's something about the one with the green glowing vine... and that last textured one! Wow.

lemme know whatcha thinkWell, ok, then. Obviously they're all good. The atmosphere in the first two is fantastic -- feels like something out of a videogame (I'd be checking all those openings for grooblies likely to smite me in nasty ways). There's something cool about the industrial desert you've captured ( ... )
