OMG there is a Disgaea animé series. For those of you who did not play the tactical RPG Disgaea on PS2, I would only say that if you like tactical RPGs and/or have any obsessive-compulsive or completist tendencies, you could probably play this one game for the rest of your life, 24/7/365, possibly without even advancing

That is exactly what the PS2 characters look like... in the cutscenes. It's pretty standard sprite-based tactical combat during the gameplay. Still, it looks pretty good, and the whole silly-but-creepy demon theme is consistent throughout.
