I saw your entry in "celiac." I am an ED'd celiac and wanted to invite you to friend me if you're interested in having a buddy who understands both sides of the equation.
i'll add you back. thanks a lot for adding me- it would be great to read your journal since, as you said, you understand both sides. i'm really scared about the possibility of having celiac. i feel like the foods i am somewhat comfortable eating will no longer be an option. was going on a gluten-free diet hard for you to deal with because of your ED?
anyway, i don't update much, but i'm working on it :P
Which foods do you feel comfortable eating? On a recent entry I list a 5 meal plan that keeps me below 600 calories a day and is ALL gluten free. Most GF foods are lower in calories anyway, and I think you'll find that cutting out breads, etc, makes it easier to lose weight.
My usual day is: Activia yogurt (lite) with fruit, carrots + hummus, turkey slices (boar's head is GF and 20 calories a slice), tofu...Really, MOST good dieting foods are GF. The ED gets worse sometimes because I restrict calories AND foods I crave and can't eat (donuts, breads, etc) and that willpower is tough to hang onto. But for the most part, other than causing my ED, I think having celiac has had little effect on it
