New Vid - Bitemarks & Bloodstains

Jan 30, 2006 02:00

I've been wanting to make this vid since I first heard the song, and I finally got it done. I've been working on it constantly the last few days to get it finished before I start back at uni.

Feedback would be muchly appreciated :)

Thanks Steph :)
I started off really slow at first, but the past couple of days I've been really putting everything into it. I'm so satisfied with how it turned out.

YAAAAAAYYYYY! Its done! it was amazing adam! youre such an awsome vidder, this was so fun to watch. i really think when you get abstract with effects and editing, it makes it so much more interesting to watch. I loved the red sections, and then how you carried that through with the red flashes. and the lyrics for "im stealing her body" part is so perfect for the topic. i really enjoyed this alot :D

A perfect song choice for these two and editing that plays up their sharp, dark passion. The frenetic effect choices worked so well with the roughness of the song. I love Darla and the twisted relationship between her and Angel -- so this was a treat!

Thanks. :)
I wanted to use a lot of effects to give a good sense of how twisted their relationship is, and I think I got it exactly how I wanted.

GAHHHHH I am at work and can't download this until I get home in a few hours :( :( But judging from the comments already, it's definitely going to be a keeper. Can't wait! Feedback soon. Such a beautiful banner too. Tis interesting that you have credited your real name - are you going to do that from now on?

I've always had a soft spot for this 'ship and you delivered so well, on many different levels. I LOVED the "flashes" that corresponded to the second layer of music (especially at the start with the B&W), and the noise effect that worked so well as a largely physical representation of the "buzzing" bits - loved the zooms put on them in particular. The colour effects are so lush and rich, really serving to highlight the Epicurian nature of their relationship. And the external movement applied to the red bits are awesome! I LOVED how much more push it gave to the pace ( ... )

I think I probably will. I was feeling in kind of a 'change-y' mood.

And thank you for the comment on the banner! It was like 2am and I just grabbed the first decent screencap I could find, adjusted it a little and put a title on it lol. I'm glad it didn't turn out to be a disaster.

Thanks again for giving me such awesomely detailed feedback. I really do like to hear which parts stood out to you :)

So, you think you're too good to have a weird nick-name now? Huh? Huh?!

But seriously, I really enjoyed your video. It's amazing how far you have come from your first videos. You're such a great vidder. I loved all the effects you used, and it was an amazing vid overall.
