College apps--DONE!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally. Many people have asked me why I didn't stop when I got into Yale, but in all honesty, I'm not sure it's where I want to go (but it's up there!). It did save me at least 4 college applications, though--Carnegie Mellon, Georgetown, Northwestern, and Wash U. All of those schools have their appeal, but Carnegie ( Read more... )

Stanford is in Palo Alto..... it's nothing like LA, it's really nice.

umm...you got into yale and you're still applying to SB? What's wrong with you?! i don't know why you still applyed to any other school that didn't offer merit scholarships.

Oh, that's right! It was getting hard for me to figure out the benefits of turning 18, but that is definitely a good thing.

With regards to SB, I don't know if there's any point in canceling since I already paid the application fee. Hmmm.

personally, i would cancel any school that you wouldn't consider going to over yale (though i know this would be a pain since you already filled them out). since youre likely to get in to many of the schools on your list, it would take a spot from someone else who actually wants to go there - especially at schools like the UCs that don't have waiting lists.
