Time: what an iniquitous ruffian! A curiosity it is--to begrudge that which sustains life for also being life's necessary truncation. But I certainly enjoy the imagery of this villain furtively plotting in his lair...lovely cadence, too, I say.
As for Destiny...
A billboard near my house solicits female onlookers to enroll in the College of Saint Mary to (I roughly paraphrase) 'grow into what you were destined to become.' As though Destiny operates on such fragile contingencies as enrollment in a private Catholic college, or needs its agenda advertised or advanced on slipshod city billboards. ("Well, Destiny *is* going to allow for some exhilarating rides, but, sorry to say, I'm a bit disappointed in its benefits package. I'd like to see some progress in that region, or--I must caution--it's free will for me!") By its very nature, Destiny cannot be stifled nor need be assisted. (Sorry for the digression; I guess this small offense has been long picketing my brain.)
Can anyone say advertising??? It's hard to believe that anyone would find, "College of Saint Mary: we're crazy, Catholic, and female" appealing. Gives me the shivers.

this one time at the shuttle stop, this weird old guy was pressing us to tell him if the Pike house was a sorority house. "Is this like one of those houses with all the girls??" When we said no, he wanted to know where it was. It was awful creepy..but you know he is a dumbass because all he would have to do is look at the houses that have Greek symbols on them...do some peeping tom stuff, and there you go, he'd have an answer.
