Title: Delusional
Character(s): Kiseop
Rating: PG
Summary: It's about time he stopped living in delusion.

the wind's symphony weaves its way through faraway wind chimes.

just like how he used to weave his fingers through her hair.

his eyes, dark brown orbs, reflect the last few rays of the afternoon sun, before dark clouds consume them.

just like how the ground will soon consume him.

his heartbeat is erratic.

just like how it was when she murmured his name.

---

"kiseop..." she had said softly that morning. he had turned to her, smiling gently as always whenever he was with her. his heart had sped up at the mention of his name, his mind anticipating whatever she was about to say.

"let's break up."

simple words cutting through his soul like sharp ice. his handsome features twisting, morphing into an ugly grimace that didn't belong there.

he remembered begging her. he remembered looking for her. he remembered her expressionless face, her expressionless face which used to glow with love.

he remembered everything.

he had tried to live without her, he did; but it was hard, so hard.

she was his everything, and he thought he was hers, too.

delusional, he had thought to himself.

delusional, he tells himself everyday.

---

delusional, he thinks to himself now.

he stares at his wrist, where marks of abuse have been carved. he feels the metal blade in his hand and slides his long, elegant fingers along its length.

slowly, he lifts the blade and presses it onto the milky white surface that was soon to be stained red.

the weak layer called skin cuts open and rivers of crimson spill out. he hangs his head back slightly, letting the pain wash over his entire being.

his numb fingers release the stained blade, and he watches it fall down fifty stories onto the traffic below.

his feet step up onto the railing, bloodstained fingers gripping the edge of the cold metal. carefully, he balances himself there.

memories of her flash in his head. he figures she won't miss him if he did this.

he smirks down at the traffic below, as if mocking them. oh, how harmless they look.

oh, how dangerous they actually are.

just like her.

he steps forward, letting his foot fall into thin air.

letting himself fall into thin air.
