Round two victor? Me! HOOAH! Plus, other news regarding my application.

So today was the retake of the PFT. Again, following the PF Chart for my age group (22-26), officers need a minimum of 60 (out of 100) on each event. Of course, while I met the minimum, I want to strive for 90-100 in each. I think it might be a long road ahead. Damn not being athletically gifted.

Push-Ups (40 reps minimum in 2 min.)
May 23rd: 42
June 29th: 53
Today: 56 (Score of 78)

Sit-Ups (50 reps minimum in 2 min.)
May 23rd: 44
June 29th: 33
Today: 52 (Score of 63)

All things considered, June 29th no doubt had to be a fluke. Damn choking. I will master this stupid exercise just so I can show who's boss.

2 Mile run (in 16:36)
May 23rd: 20:27
June 29th: 17:29
Today: 16:01 (Score of 66)

I felt less fatigued compared to June 29th. Then again, I did improve my breakfast plan (and carb loading the night before) with some help.

Total (180 minimum): 207

Gah, 93 more points...

And now, for some good news and bad news:

Good news
Although my MEPS appointment (For medical inspection and security clearance) got pushed to Monday, my packet will be complete after that.

Bad news
My recruiter has done a superb job on my packet and working with me so far, but his company commander is a bitch. Since one candidate failed his board from late June, the company commander spontaneously decided to shorten the deadlines for OCS packets (my recruiter and I were like, "WTF?"). In my case, I would've been able to turn in my packet on Friday after MEPS to go to the board on the 21st. However, due to the changes, the deadline was shortened to Wednesday. My recruiter was pissed; who can blame him? Fucking short notices.

As a result, my board got pushed back to August 3rd. Now, my recruiter says it may affect my ship out date (September or October). But since he said that OCS slots are harder to fill up than enlisted, there's still a chance I'll be able to make it to the ship out date of August 18th. *crosses fingers*

Now, don't think I'm anxious to leave you all *looks at failnobra*, and I know we're smart enough to employ the "do what you gotta do," mentality in addition to being supportive. However, I haven't felt an influx of ambition, compassion, and motivation ever since I was getting ready for college. A calling? Perhaps, and interpret it as you want, but I don't think about that. Let's just say I'm that enthusiastic right now.
