To answer that is to group their opposites. What is art to one person, is not to another. I thought I was closer to the answer by knowing what is not art.
Paralel thought : I feel uncomfortable with McKean's work because he is intrinsicly in each peice, and for me, art shouldn't hold so much ego, so much of the same charecter, art should allow you to feel apart of it, and for me that is where he fails.
But then my paralel split off and turned to the question of whether his work is good on the level where it allows you to forget yourself and see something through someone elses eyes. But that's just a product of my unwillingness to hold one mind on anything.
My answers?
Art is.
Love is art.
And my favoutite colour would have to be the art of love.
cheesy yes. but far more accurate than any of my other answers.
