I have a friend (sort...of) who recently betrayed my trust in an unimaginable sense. That's that thing I spoke of the other day in my journal entry that literally caused me to have to shut myself down so I didn't...break down. It was at that point that I decided that "he deserves everything he gets." The difference, however, is that it is part of my personal philosophy that everyone gets what is coming to them. I was just willing to put that past my friend. That's what you do, sometimes. You put your personal beliefs aside -- or bury them -- for people (friends/enemies), thinking that it's a good thing to do -- and then you find out they're not. It's easy, then, to feel doubly as betrayed. He betrayed your trust and you betrayed your own trust and he failed to respect that with however he treated you
