// Do I have to embrace this "fo'shizzle" stance that modern black people have? //

I think that's a bit much. I'm not black but I have family (brother in law, and three nieces) and best friends that are, and none of them embrace this so-called "fo'shizzle" business, or feel any pressure to do so.

I think the only thing you got right is that you would come across racism... maybe not so extreme as to be pummeled. But I can't see how one's culture would change, with culture being radically unrelated to biology.

Yeah; I realize I'm being a bit stereotypical (or maybe "prejudically stereotypical"), but dreams tend to lean a bit in the weird direction, since that's what I thought in the dream at least.
But the culture thing makes sense in a way - it wouldn't be a problem to be born whichever colour, but to have it suddenly change just like that when you've already established a lifestyle; I mean, how would other people you'd meet react to this? Would they expect something different from you depending on what colour you were?

I apologize if I sounded "that way", though. I don't mean to be generalizing in any way, but that's the way the thoughts occurred to me during the dream.

That's cool :). My point earlier was that many do not conform to stereotypes, but I’m not denying that there are still a lot of people who do, in fact, I'll give an example of someone I know who bought into the whole "fo'shizzle ( ... )

It would only be your skin color that changes. That's like having the color of your hair change permanently. I mean, to me, Michael Jackson is still the same person he was 20 years ago... just with a different skin color.

Not sure where the whole "fo'shizzle" thing came from. o.O

Jacko's still got it :D.

One of my favourite Jacko songs is "Black or White". Some people say that he went against the philosophy of his own lyrics by changing his skin colour, but if you ask me I reckon he’s embracing it all the more :D.
