I am so excited, I can't stop giggling like a mad fool! It might be due to extreme tiredness, but it might also be to do with the new cellphone I just got given!@#$!! errr.... I'm a data bitch really. I use raw scan sales data from retailers to create cubes/databases then analyse said data in order to help them make better decisions regarding stock lines ranged, prices etc. We also whore ourselves out to the suppliers of products so they can identify opportunites within their product categories.

So you could tell which flavour of Quik is most popular, whether people in a particular suburb favour one-ply over two-ply toilet paper, or whether electorates with a lot of ACT voters buy an uncommonly high amount of silver spoons?

I could tell you about the Quick, but not the other stuff. We only deal in quantitative data, the other stuff (qualitative research) is usually done by putting a bunch of housewives in a room on beanbags while the researchers watch them discuss toilet paper through 1 way mirrors. However if we had access to the foodtown card database we could find out the other stuff!
