I'm participating in a malaria vaccine trial at Stanford -- I wonder how that would impact the management of malaria if it goes through. Would it be too expensive for most of the world's population? Would it not work against some strains of malaria? I also read something recently on a new strain in Cambodia (where new strains of other diseases have also started, largely due to rampant abuse of antibiotics -- here's a link, though it's not the article I originally read).
