It's craptacular.

I know I've been gone for awhile but the only things you've missed are that L'il zet cut her hair by herself and I found out I'm really really allergic to lobster. Both of these events were ugly, and one was more painful and scary than the other.

Why do you find out about an allergy after All-You-Can-Eat Lobster night? That's so not cool. And ( Read more... )

Ugh! But this isn't as unusual as it might seem; it often takes several exposures to the allergen to finally trigger the (exaggerated) response. I developed an allergy to a pesticide on green table grapes, but it took several episodes over several days before anything really noticeable happened (and yes, it was scary when my arms and face swelled up).

I hope and l'il zet are ok and as back to normal as possible. She cut off her eyebrows?? And what is this "mental health and development" checkup of which you speak?

She decided she didn't like her bangs. She managed to cut them very short in odd layers and somehow snipped her eyebrows too. They're still there, but apparently she held the scissors flush to the eyebrow and kind of snipped away the middle, thicker part. Does that make any sense? She's got hair left at each end of each brow, but the middle area is mostly gone. If we dyed her hair black we could just tell people she's Goth ( ... )

Ah, ok, I see what you mean. I'll bet that looks very attractive. ;-)
Of course the nice thing about hair is that it grows back; mistakes are temporary. Usually.

(apparently her hearing is fine- she just ignores me! ;p)

I'm waiting for the day the testing agencies wise up and use the parent's recorded voice saying something like, "Clean your room!" The deafness stats will go through the roof. :-)

The average score for her age is 14-16 points and Zoey scored a 28.

Woot, very nice!

P.S. That should have been I hope you and l'il zet....
