My Weekend of Awesomeness~
A description of My Weekend of Awesomeness
...which only consists of Saturday and Sunday because I work all day Friday. So that doesn't count as a weekend day right?
Saturday
My friend Ashley and I went down to New York City. She came over my house first because she doesn't know how to get to the train station lol. She arrived early, so while we had time to kill I downloaded the Mars Drama OST for her (she loves it, I haven't watched it yet but I've read the manga so I'll watch it eventually). While we were waiting for that to download I made her watch Arashi on Music Station with me. It was hilarious! Those boys are ridiculous. Seriously. She loved it too. She really loved the part where they were talking about Jun drowning and where Ohno does "real" acting aka falling asleep when he's supposed to be pretending to fall asleep XDD.
Because we were distracted doing this stuff...we were late to the train. When we got to the station, we had to park across the road, I sort of pulled into the wrong way of a one way street...good thing no cars were coming! We parked. We ran to the train (thank goodness parking was free) and the doors were closing! So we sprinted, yelled to the conductor to wait, asked if it was the right train (it was) and he waited for us lol. So we almost missed the train....That ALWAYS happens to me when I go to the city without my sister lol
We get to Grand Central and head to Book Off. My friend LOVED it there...probably because it's full of all sorts of manga. Cheap manga. Japanese manga. She bought the Japanese version of Bleach 19 which has color pages in the middle...it looks really cool. And I bought some English manga. After that we waited for her friend from New Jersey to meet us. Then we went to KINOKUNIYA!!!! (of course xD)
I spent WAY too much money there. But I bought lots (3) of magazines to share with you all! (even though they've mostly already been scanned already....I like sharing anyway) I even bought....ready?....HANADAN FINAL!!!! I was SOOO excited! It wasn't as expensive as it used to be, that's the only reason I bought it. Anyways. I spent a bunch of money there.
Then we went to Asahiya. Where I bought TWO more magazines. I can't resist when I see pictures of Arashi you know? I can't help it. It's not a good thing I'm sure but....what's done is done XD Kino and Asahiya also have a bunch of Arashi CDs and the NEW single! (Crazy Moon) for cheaper than what I paid for it after shipping lol. But I got it faster so I don't mind at all.
Yeah. So then we got back on the train to go home. And had a minor (major) freakout that we were supposed to transfer trains and missed the transfer. That's what happens when you have headphones in and can't really hear the conductor...
Sunday
Sunday was Japan Day!!! My sister (drea_c) and I went down to NYC again lol. This time we weren't late (see?) but we DID have to transfer -__- Anyway. We took the subway to Central Park for Japan Day. We met up with some other Arashi/JE fans. Had a little meetup with games and such. It was pretty fun. After that we went to SoHo to shop a bit. We wound up at UNIQLO =) Awesome store. AND I was lucky enough to get the Yatterman shopping bag! lol. My sister got pacman, she was a tad jealous I'm sure. So now everytime I look at the bag (which I'm saving by the way) I just picture Sho in the Yatterman costume <3
....Hmmm I guess not as much happened on Sunday, but it still took the whole day. It was lots of fun
Overall I'd have to say that this weekend was, as the title says, full of Awesomeness. I got my Japanese/Arashi fix, I saw friends, I bought clothes, I learned my way around the city even more. I can't wait to go again!!!
