It is normal that there is more social problems here than in most of the other cities in Québec, because there are more poverty. When someone who doesn't have any income, any money or any place to live he comes to a big city like Montreal where he can find a place to shelter himself again the weather at night. And he also can beg here all day without too much problems where in a city like yours he wouldn't make enough money for surviving. We have also the major part of the immigrating people that comes here and some of them will have problems to integrate themselves and will be abuse (bad jobs or no jobs) and that will create social problems. And we also have a lot of people who are poor and under-educated and it is prooven that their children are more prone to stay in that wheel of poverty and poor education

I know mostly all that..And you know how my heads works sometimes..I hate it for reasons that I cannot undersatnd and I hate myself for judgin it withougth ever have went there.
And going there by myself would not be a good idea as all I would focus would be on the bad things.. What I need is a guide that will show me the very best AND the most worst of the city. So by knowing all the best and all the goods of that city I could actualy have a bether perseption of the hole city. Yet like I said on Wes reply the guides are rare and you are totely boked for the next Months ^^;;..
So I might go there one day. Might just past in front of your house just to let you a litle drawing that I did about 8 months ago ither that your there or not. Il tape it on the door if our aint there. Whit duck tape surely.

yes there will be more children abandoned, but thats because you have such a huge population on a little island, and like kildoo said, there is quite alot of poor there.
Its in our city too, you go down rideau street, you can see all the drug dealers, pan handlers, and homeless people..now, thats with a population of 1,146,790 in a area of 2,778.64 Km². Montreal has a population of 3,635,700 in 500.05 Km2.
the density is so much higher there Zets, of course they are going to have more problems.

maybe you should go to montreal first before saying this.
Inded I do..I would plan to, but I need someone that knows a city well so I would have some sort of guide that would tell the city in his own words. But..hehe..Kildoo is a litle boooked out for the next months^^;;..But I do hope that maybe one day I would go there whit the someone you love alot so he could show me the city in a inpartial way. His way.
