The final installment. The big statement of regret. Maybe the most real of them all (?). With these words, Kumeta's process of changing from mostly "lol, penis" into "DESPAIR!!!1" ended. Without this process, there would be no Zetsubou Sensei. Please read, and cry. I know I did.

Thank you for bringing these statements of regret to the community. The last few have made me want to offer Kumeta a hug so bad, and this one... man, a hug and a nice blanket and some hot cocoa and some kleenex.

I wonder if he has as much loathing for SZS as he did for Kaizou, or if that loathing was mostly a product of his depression, or what.

I agree that they have become progressively sadder. Although he did make some kind of little note (in a "zetsubou" list) at how he really tried to make them sound pathetic in order to gain sympathy. I guess we'll never know how much of all this was real, and how much was just joking around.

I don't think he has much loathing for SZS, because if I Try To Have An Opinion it seems more like depression caused by/a problem with Shougakukan/Shounen Sunday rather than Kaizou itself (maybe). And HE IS FREE OF THEM NOW.

Yes it is sad! The first time I read I was both slighty shocked AND crying (sorryforlaugingatyouKumeta-sensei). I'm happy it gives off the same flavour in English, in Japanese it's very naked and goes HARD AND STRAIGHT INTO YOUR HEART.

I think he's a lot happier now. And if he's not, in a position to change it.

Haha, I would be very happy to see one of yours at the end of fanfic. Even if they're not by Kumeta's hand, I sort of want... more. Heh.

There will be more of this whenever I get around to do it :) It won't get much more tortured than this though, which is good, because I have NO MORE TEARS LEFT
