It's sad what happens when politics override the great game of football. The 'Hawks are winners in our eyes, for sure. I'll break down how the wonderful officiating have given Jerome Bettis and the Pittsburgh Steelers the Title ( Read more... )

It was actually about an inch short. Any part of the ball only has to cross any part of the goal line itself... still on the replay it looked like it didn't even get that far.

Also, the score was 24-13, not 24-7. Still, it wasn't fair, and we ought to have won.

*laughs*

I don't indulge in sports, so I'm not as passionate on the topic, but from what I have read here, you all would have torn my place of employment apart. My boss is a huge Steeler's fan and displayed an arraignment of Steeler paraphernalia all over our store.

However, if I'm not mistaken, isn't it a 'win for America' no matter what team wins? I mean we are ALL Americans the last time I checked. ~_^

Heh, sure, that's like saying because the majority of americans wanted Bush to win, that we all love him as a President :)

LOL I doubt that even the people who voted for Bush are happy with him right now. However, the office of President does hold a certain amount of 'due respect' that we as Americans have laid the structure for.

You don't have to 'love' someone to give them due respect, however limited it is. Nor do you have to 'love' someone to understand their point of view, no matter how misguided.
