Does anyone have any firsthand knowledge of Microsoft OneNote? It seems to have pretty good reviews, and if it's more effective for note taking than Microsoft Word, then I would be perfectly content to plunk down $30 to pick up a copy on amazon. Anything to make the law school experience easier...

I have no idea, I'm just trying to save up for Microsoft Office! I should have just paid a little more to get it on my computer when I bought it. What was I thinking? Now I realize that I really have to have it because for most of my internet classes the papers have to be done in Word. Lovely! Word Perfect is a POS.

I find that instead of actually taking notes, I prefer to sit in class with my eyes closed and simply take everything in. I let the professors voice wash over me, soothing me into a peaceful sleep where I learn everything in my dreams. It totally works.

That is certainly one of my favorite methods as well, but apparently it is less effective in classes taught using the socratic method. Stupid greeks...

They're so smug, what with their, "we invented democracy" that they always go around taunting us with. good desserts though.

It's true. And the democracy? That's like 10000 years ago. Big deal. What have you done for me lately, Greece?

I have never found it particularly effective for notetaking, which I why I was looking to go in another direction. I won't ask for specifics of when you and Word had your problems with each other, I can imagine the horrors it can cause easily enough.
