Personally, I think it is the ugliest thing I have ever seen. But to each their own I guess!

Also, sorry to hear about your cat issue! We had issues like that w/ puggly we tried litter training her. Once we taught her to go outside it was much better. But then again, she is a dog, not a cat.

I would not spend $500 on such a thing. The cat will hopefully come around. It would make our house so much happier.
