You, of all people should understand the idea. I've mentioned several times that I don't want to chase you. I don't want to catch someone who's running.

People are one of those things that you can't "win" with a fight. If you have to fight, you've already lost.

I've just thought a lot about the nature of fighting recently. Why people do it, when they should, when they shouldn't. And in the long run, I realized that the biggest mistake people make is confusing "rewards" with "punishments". People start fighting when they want the possible reward (often neglecting the probability of winning). They should look at that sure, but more important is to look at the consequences. People ignore those. Sometimes the cost of losing should be on the forefront of your mind.

Most of the time, really.

I really like this. I think my brother has grown more than I could have hoped for. God of wisdom you are wise far beyond your years, many people never learn this lesson.
