How does the "can't use chol objects on Shabbat" argument handle grama kitchen appliances like ovens with Shabbat mode? It's not like a siddur where I can use a different one on Shabbat. :-)

On a side note, Shabbat mode ovens are a misnomer. They are Yom Tov mode ovens. Using them on Shabbat encounters other issues. They are also the subject of controversy, mostly because A) grama by design may not be grama and B) there is no obvious medical need as here (as you can see the scooter is controversial. How much moreso the oven?)
