One of my favorite things about livejournal is that I keep taking Memory-Lane trips through my old fandoms.  I read it, do the hissing-like-a-snake laugh when I see a good joke, do the snorfle-through-my-nose laugh when I see something that embarrasses me with my own degree of geek cred, it's fun.

Chels, I love you. Oh, btw, it's Marissa (I'm too lazy to sign in). Anyway, reading this brought back so many memories. And in retrospect, Aragorn totally should have married Eowyn and dumped Arwen. Arwen was just too perfect, albeit his one true love. He would have gotten over it and we would have been able to keep Eowyn around in a much more involved role. Man, she was cool. Also, in my new fiction I'm writing I have named one of the supporting characters "Aden" in memorium (sp?).

Oh my lordy. I'm the long-ago author of that fanfic series. You read that when you were TWELVE? I, um, hope I didn't warp you for life, and I'm glad you enjoyed it and look back on it fondly.

Also, I think "Meatball" is a hysterically wonderful name for a Silmarillion fanfiction writer and I'm going to go change my name forthwith.
