First of all, I'm very grateful for all the comments to my previous post. I now feel somewhat silly for ever having imagined that I might not be in good company when it comes to messing up in service. i feel your pain--i truly do. i have personally experienced the heart-pounding, cold-sweating, holy-shit-what-do-i-do-NOW moment of shit-i-fucked-UP.

please post part two post haste simply for my own personal gratification. ;)

omg i'm all agog. i read the rest of the comments on the other entry, so i know everything is okay, but ... omg.

re: fixable situations: the end of the Unfinished Bathroom Remodeling story is that uglybass's service girl did get some rest, and he continued the remodeling the next weekend. But then he got discouraged because he sucks at spackling and painting, so I finished those tasks for him. In garters and heels.

i snuck in the bathroom wearing a sweatsuit and then took it off so i would be in my frilly/gartery/heelsy glory, and was standing on the toilet, assiduously sanding a spackle patch, the next time he walked by. :)

Something funny I just realized ... the three of us ran into an odd merge of roles, since it was uglybass's job to determine appropriate activities for his service girl (one of which he deemed to be service to me), but it's my job as his femme to help him avoid being a so-called two-by-four butch ... i.e., with gentle reminders like, "Do you think she'll have time for all that, honey?"

Also the job of a partner of someone with ADD, which I also am.
