Summary: Sacrificing your heart just for the person you love. Seeing them happy is enough as long as you know they are smiling. How far will you go for the person you love?
A tall guy with a good looking feature was walking behind Inoo. He stood beside Inoo as they stopped at the table.
“Gomenasai, Hika. I got caught up in class as I was told to take care of a new transfer student,” Inoo explained. “Oh let me introduce you”
Inoo pushed Takaki in front of him to meet Hikaru.
“This is Takaki Yuya” Inoo introduced. “Takaki, this is Yaotome Hikaru, my best friend and childhood friend.”
Takaki put out his hand to Hikaru as he greets Hikaru, “Hajimemashite. I am new to this school. Yoroshiku ne”
Hikaru shook hands with Takaki and smiled, “Kochirakoso”
Seeing them being friendly towards each other, Inoo is happy about it as he told Hikaru, “Hey, this handshake is the beginning of a new friendship.”
Hikaru saw a group of girls behind a pillar of walls, whispering to each other and giggling amongst themselves.
“I wonder what those girls are doing behind the pillar,” Hikaru pointed out.
“They are Takaki’s fangirls. They have been following us since just now,” Inoo scoffed it off. “That was also another reason for me being late in meeting you.”
Upon hearing that, Hikaru remembered the big commotion at the entrance of the school in the morning.
“Ne, Takaki-kun, was it you who caused the big commotion at the entrance of the school earlier in the morning?”
“Eto… Hai,” Takaki replied shyly. “I’m not sure what they are fussing over though”
Seeing there’s two plate of food on the table, Inoo took the one with lesser portion of rice, and passed the other plate to Takaki.
“Is this alright?” Takaki asked Hikaru.
“Ano Hika, do u mind if Takaki takes this plate of food and you buy another one?”
Hikaru felt his heart clenched upon hearing Inoo request but he complied. He went to buy another plate of food for himself. As Hikaru went back to the table, he saw Inoo and Takaki talking happily among while eating their lunch.
“You’re near but why does it feel like you’re too far for me to reach?”
Hikaru thought Inoo is just being helpful by taking care of Takaki who is new to the school. However, little did he know that Takaki’s presence would cause changes in his relationship with Inoo.
