First we were all responsible with the bonus and income tax refund. We paid off most of our debt and purchased a few not too expensive, but much needed items for our church. Then we went all wild and crazy and bought some new technology - a new phone for Will and his and her iPad2s. Then we went really crazy and booked an anniversary cruise

My mom always stresses about packing for formal dinners on their cruises. I think she wears dressier slacks, a blouse and maybe a nice jacket? She's not a dress person, but I think a little black dress would be perfect - if you only brought one and a few accessories to change it a little for different nights, maybe that'd work and not mean so much extra luggage?

She has mentioned the laundry service on cruise ships; generally it's outrageous. Like $5 for a tshirt or something stupid like that. It's hard to pack light for cruises, I think!

How fun!!

My mom has a black pant suit (gauzier material, not a structured suit) with some beading/bling on it that she wears for the fancier stuff. Some people do wear evening gowns, but i think a little black dress would more than have you covered and your palazzo pants might be just perfect, too. I'll ask her and MIL in the a.m. for a better idea and post back if I hear otherwise :)

I can't cruise, get horribly sick, but the cruise to see the new england/canadian coasts in the fall sure sounds lovely!! if i could handle it, i'd do alaska, too.
