Pre-teen angst is gonna kill me

Wow. Except for the tall part, you could have been writing about Seri!! I wish I had some advice but I don't. When is Kate's birthday? Seri is also 10, bday in November. She hasn't started her period yet. I know it's coming & fear it will be even worse when those hormones kick into high gear.

Kate turned 10 in September and started her period in mid-February. It was kinda early, but she's been growing and developing so fast that I wasn't terribly surprised. I hate all this boundary-testing that Kate does. I consistently enforce the same rules we've always had, but she still feels the need to see if they're there *this* time. And then again *this other* time. If we're in for another 8 years of this, I'm not sure we'll all survive.

Seri also seems to find it funny to insult me in front of other people, especially her friends. Luckily her friends don't think it's funny so she doesn't get positive reinforcement for it but it's really hard for me to endure.
