Good luck on the diet & exercise, I'm right there with you on avoiding it at all costs, even though I know I SHOULD, sigh . . .
Anyway, Rodney was recently warned that he's moving toward diabetes as well. When I was researching natural things he could do (not that he listens to me, sigh . . . ) one thing that jumped out at me was coconut oil. If you google coconut oil and diabetes you can find info on it. But basically taking a couple spoonfuls a day of coconut oil (and replacing vegetable oil with it in your cooking) can reverse diabetes even after it's been diagnosed, so seems like an easy enough step to take. Our pastor's wife said she's started putting it on her toast in the morning instead of butter.
