how sweet is it to be loved by you!

Tonight I went for one of my bigger swims (to you know, prepare for my big 5k) and I'm going at a good pace, feeling fine, and then I'm told I must exit the pool as some kid puked in it. I really needed to do a big swim this week, too, but perhaps I can squeeze it in on Sunday when I will swim an Olympic size pool for the first time! :O ( Read more... )

My bf always writes "probabily"...and it drives me crazy!! My biggest grammar pet peeve, though, is when people use "loose" for "lose". One of my first year profs did it all the time!! Last summer one of our lifeguards was passed a note by one of the water techs - "your hot" - to which she replied "my hot what?". I thought it was funny. Aaanyway...

Come swim in my pool in the summer...we have a world record foul cleaning time!! *lol*

Another one that kills me is rediculous. Learn how to spell, people! Oh yes, loose and lose bug me as well, but I find I don't come across those words as often as definitely/definately.

The note is pretty clever. I would have laughed as well.

What pool do you work at? I'm in Waterloo in the summeh.

How can you stand my msn conversations? I'm ok with the 'there, their and they're' but the rest of that list most likely applies to me.

ohhhhhhhh... the whole then/than thing is one of my biggest peeves.

Apparently calculus is back in the curriculum next year for sure (most of the york region schools were against the removal of this course), but I think after next year, it's out f the curriculum for sure. My data teacher (who also teaches calc) and I were chatting about this one day and he was saying that it would be a shame to take such a useful course out of the curriculum since most first year students are apparently having enough trouble with introductory calc even after taking the intro to calc course in high school.

This semester, calc is definitely my favourite course. I love math. I shouldn't have taken algeo in gr.11!!! ughhh.

bleh, who cares if it's in it for next year if they're only going to remove it the year after? it is SO essential to SO many other topics and subjects. and exactly with your point about students having difficulty having already taken it in high school. ARGH ARGH ARGH.

I've always thought it was definately, thanks for clearing that up. That having been said, I think my grammar is still better than most... *trying to make herself feel better*

that's kinda gross that someone puked in the pool.
