I might choose the 60's. Superheroes were getting back into public interest and some of the more famous supers were being created. Having this movie back then would probably have heavily influenced the development of comics.
I'm sure the audience would be amazed at the various special effects and wonder how they were accomplished. That said, I'm not sure the moral censors at the time would have allowed it to have anything less than an R rating, just for Black Widow's outfit alone.
Actually, I really liked the Avengers - Music From and Inspired by the motion picture. But then, Soundgarden and Rise Against are the types of bands I like... XD
I'd love to take it back to 80s, when ninja turtles and campiness was rampant. It would be a sobering pill, though honestly, it would have only exacerbated the gritty mess that was the 90s. Also, taking a technological marvel like this any earlier and the movie probably would blow peoples' minds. Literally. Like, their would be organs and grey matter on the walls...
I admit I haven;t gotten it yet. I guess I just would like to see some pop and rock songs based specifically on the characters.
Yeah movies in the 80's and early 90's were different from the comics which had become immersed in the Iron age of the time. This movie is clearly not Iron Age however. There is a triumphalism about it that escapes the negativity and dark edginess of the iron age (hello Spawn and liefeld how I hate you)
Yeah the 80's would have been an interesting time for the movie its true.
Heh hmm good point the special effects would have people shocked in earlier times "i can't see the strings!"
