I'm right with you on the cult of Jesus thing. I think your annoyance to it is natural. Part of what binds these fundamentalists so tightly together is that they make an "other" outside of themselves. This "other" is what they view as "evil" or the enemy, or the devil himself. (As it turns out, Jews used to be part of this "other". Now they seem to be picking on gays instead

I am definitely with you on the Jesus thing, but I am probably far more intolerant than either you or mshonle - at least I'd like to think so, for your health and general well being. I am downright prejudicial and full of anger and resentment toward christians and their ilk, and when asked about this I always lie in order to protect the people I love. I've never been a hateful person, but christians test me.

It's something I am trying to work on. Consequently, if a friend of mine turns christian I do not know what I would do. I'd be forced to deal with what has amounted to an insane prejudice.
