Wow! I'm a little surprised that he's the first, but that's because I'm too used to living in Southern California now :)

He was one of four candidates, so he did some tough campaigning to pull ahead among the others. :)

There are definitely more minorities who won during this past primary. Now we'll just have to see if they hold on to their victory on general election day!

But we had an Asian American governor over here. It's old hat for us on the west coast. ;)

In the town where I grew up, there's been an Asian mayor there for quite a while too. Slow to catch on, New York City is.
