hey chick! I'm glad you're all healed up. good luck with the apartment hunting. i too would like a new place with a new kitchen, mostly coz my dad totally screwed up our one eight years ago and the wiring has started to go bye-bye. only half the plugs work, the overhead lighting is shot to hell and if we are washing and drying clothes we can neither provide ourselves with a) light or b) tea. the latter is the more important one, of course.

Oh man, that sucks. Sounds like it might be worse than the tenement building my folks are in-- my dad has redone a lot of the wiring and all of the lighting.

What are you up to these days? I really need to go back and read people's journals since I've been completely absent for most of the last 6 months. Oy.

Been thinking of you this week, reminding myself that I still owe you a letter or two (or several, by now)

Glad you're doing well and have several projects to work on (hooray for learning to drive!) and maybe now that you're closer to stationary we can find some phone time... Odd idea, since I think we've spoken on the phone, what, twice? Anyway... Eugene and I miss you terribly and wish you only the best of luck until you can come back and visit :)

and pyrates will always rule

You totally owe me a letter! *whines* Mine to you is almost done... but I've been saying that for awhile. Have to admit, I've never been a phone person. I think we've talked about this. I much prefer letters and emails and journals and even chatting (tho that tends to go at a faster pace than I can really handle these days). I like being able to edit my sentences.

I'm excited about the possiblity of showing you around NYC (at least a little). There are so many good coffee shops and bars. Hmmmm.
