my fob consists of a gp medium and 3 rows of concertina wire, is 12 hours away from the nearest support by ground and 45 minutes away by air, and it's only my platoon there. to really top things off we don't have enough mortarmen so i am now a 2 man mortar team with with my other javelin gunner.

60s? my friend Mehta was a 11b turned charlie because of lack of personel. The cool thing, to be in a leadership position is relatively easy in mortars. You'll get those gay little green things on your shoulder boards in no time!

The bad thing... usually you get the mortar tube, a m4 w/203 and a m9. Which is a lot of fucking weight. Of course, you don't jump out of planes, so I guess it doesn't matter as much.

it sucks, i'm still 11b and i walk everywhere. i am loaded down with alot of fucking weight. if i get shot i'm goin up like a fucking roman candle.
