i tried to post this in response to your post on hip domestics, but since they aren't adding any mroe friends, i can't post it there. sorry about responding to another post on this one, but i wanted to give you some insomnia suggestions!

valerian is a great natural rememdy for insomnia, i have a friend who puts a few drops of a valerian tincture in her sleepytime tea before bed, and says it works like a charm. i've also heard kava kava has similar calming down qualities, and it also comes in teas and tinctures.

i'd also suggest going to your local health food store/whole foods type place, and ask their nutrition people about what they recommend.

i don't get insomnia often, but i had some a few weeks ago for a couple of days, and i took a nice shower, put my favorite sheets on the bed and had some sleepytime tea just before bed, and it worked pretty well.
