So, Mark C  lent me his Wii for a bit, with a big pile o games to check out. Here’s some quick impressions of some games I’ve been playing with:

Fragile: Imagine this: Someone wants to make a Japanese version of Fallout 3 into a heartwarming anime-like experience. As weird as that ( Read more... )

I can't wait for Fragile, which is coming out here in that video game release nightmare known as "March" under the name 'Fragile Dreams.'

Shattered Memories is pretty good, and I never had a problem with the control set up . The trick with the movement is to make fluid, straight motions in the direction the monster is on you to remove it. Once I figured out the motions it required, it was rather responsive. The PS2 version is 20 bucks MSRP but according to this video some things were lost in translation and you take damage pretty quick to compensate for that "one/two button shake off":

If you get a chance, play No More Heroes. It's a great action game and answers your complaint in regards to Muramasa (standard attacks are with the buttons, cued finishing moves are with motion)

Have you heard anything about the Hudson wii haunted house game "Calling"?

Hey, thanks for the heads up. After dying about 5 times in a row on the Forest ice stage, then taking a break for a few hours, then dying three more times I've pretty much given up on that one. It looks like PS2 or nothing for me.

Re Calling: Haven't heard anything about it. I saw some pre-release promos, but no reviews or anything otherwise. Sounds cool if they can pull it off.

I'm really looking forward to Fragile. I still can't believe it's coming out here. I hope it does well.
